Sage Elk is a group of business experts with diverse backgrounds.
We are happy to share our history and references with prospective clients. As fiduciaries, we enjoy discretion as we operate. We work through referrals, and sometimes conduct targeted searches for investor clients. We are often mediating both sides of the table.
Overall, we are a collective of advisors with decades of experience in consulting, investment banking, fund management, fundraising, accounting, transaction law, estate planning, real estate, and insurance. Multi-state retail operator, buy-side acquisition of southeast multi-location operator and supplier. Sage Elk led negotiations, prepared presentations, answered diligence, and secured numerous written offers from institutional investors (Real Estate Financing and Private Debt) for up to 96% of the $40 million acquisition price within 30 days, giving our client options on capital structuring, and a high double digit IRR.
Premiere boating tourism business, sell- and buy-side acquisition. We led negotiations between both buyer and seller as intermediary, assisted with a succession plan to sell the business to key management, and secured a combination of non-bank and other asset-based loans to fully fund the purchase price. We proceeded to advise seller on launching of new lighting supply business thereafter.

Film production company, business plan and private placement capital raise. A seasoned producer team had established themselves in the industry with distribution deals on prior work, and wanted to leverage their high net worth network to fund new film projects. They engaged Sage Elk to improve their professionalism for fundraising and after helping them raise $8 million, went on to win numerous awards and top distribution.
Top 5 gaming PC company, sell-side acquisition search and business sale. Trailing on momentum of two comparable market sales of gaming computer companies to large manufacturers, a top-5 competitor engaged us to sell their gaming computer business. We efficiently made introductions at the executive level to Dell, HP, and Compaq, and in 6 months sold to an online hardware reseller for a cash payment and seller earnout.

Multi-state convenience store operator, financing lines for new store development. Sage Elk's fast-growing client required new construction finance options beyond their normal capital sources. Within a week we tested the market for rates from institutional partners and received $50 million in commitments for short-term financing, as well as long-term reverse build to suit financing, which significantly reduced the client's required equity.

National real estate investor, off-market net lease portfolio disposition. Based on previous work together, an elite national brokerage team approached Sage Elk with a $24 million off-market disposition of four industrial distribution warehouse facilities on behalf of one of its investment fund clients seeking portfolio diversification. Sage Elk introduced the broker team to a qualified buyer who executed the transaction within 90 days.
National parts manufacturer, off-market sale leaseback financing. A close advisor contact sought liquidity for a long-time client's succession planning, to make shareholder distributions and re-organize the ownership structure, and wanted to do so through a sale leaseback while maintaining strict confidentiality. Despite environmental challenges, we made the necessary introductions and closed at $7.5 million within 60 days.
Regional US restaurant chain, term debt and mortgage recapitalization. After assembling a variety of real estate debt facilities to grow rapidly into two states, this operator sought to consolidate debt into a single facility with one lender. Sage Elk prepared financial statements and presentations, and secured a $15 million replacement term loan to replace 6 other notes. The restaurant has grown in popularity, now covering 6 total states.
